Change Is Good: New Blog Design

It’s been a long time since I changed anything except the feature image on my blog.

What do you think of the new colors?

What catches your attention when you read blogs?

The average time spent on a blog post is measured in seconds. Seriously. It’s a good thing I’m not trying to sell anything, because I would starve.

Do you read blogs often? What kind?

Do you have a blog? What is it called?

I started this blog four years ago. I was sending query letters, looking for an agent to represent me and my middle grade novel. Almost without exception, they asked how many blog followers I had. So, here I am, four years into A Coffee State of Mind.

I have considered changing the theme of my blog. In WordPress, which is the blogging platform I use, theme refers to the design format chosen to set up the blog. For now, I’m still happiest with this one.

Do you have suggestions? Let me know.

Happy blogging everyone!

  1. I think your theme looks great! I typically read in WP reader, so I don’t always see the different themes of the various blogs I follow. What catches my eye is content, I’m drawn in by words (imagine that, lol). I try to stay current with the blogs I follow by reading every day, and playing catch up on the weekend when I can’t keep up with everything being posted. (It may sound stalkerish, but I just don’t want to miss anything!) I do have a blog myself, called Rhymes, Dreams, Fantasy and Thoughts. I try to post weekly, unless my muse has other ideas and nags me to put more out. Happy Blogging to you as well! 💞

    1. Thanks! I never thought of that. I read WP reader also, so unless I click on the “visit,” I don’t see the themes. I’ve been trying to post every day – crazy – since October. I’m retired, kids grown, so I have it a lot easier than many other bloggers. I enjoy your blog. Have a great day.
